Meet the Owner

Mike Bassi

Mike's father was a life long union electrician, so after college Mike followed in his father's footsteps and became an electrician himself. He started working for non union shops, but many of them had very little structure. He was looking for something more structured and after 4 years of working in the non union trades he jumped at the chance to get into the union apprenticeship program, and he never looked back.

In only five years he was a fully qualified journeyman electrician, working on large commercial jobs for Cupertino Electric, Rosendin and Sprig Electric. He has worked at Intel, Google, Applied Materials, Microsoft, Stanford, HP and on many other large commercial projects.

In 1998 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers called Mike to work at Fort Ord, changing panels for the Army as a part of RP Richards Construction. After several year there, the dot-com bubble burst and Mike knew it was time for a change, so in 2001 he decided to start his own business, naming it Tri-Phase Electric.
